Prof. Anshul Kumar, a co-founder of KritiKal Solutions Pvt. Ltd., has been with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT-Delhi since 1984. He has been the Head of Department during 1998-2001 and the Dean of Undergraduate Studies during 2003-2006. His research interests are in Design Automation of Digital Systems, High Performance Architectures and Embedded Systems Design Methodology. He has published several research papers in reputed conferences and journals, has been very active in sponsored research and provided consultancy to industry in these areas. Prof. Kumar obtained his B.Tech and Ph.D. degrees from IIT-Delhi.
Nishant Sharma is the chief technology officer at KritiKal and is one of the co-founders of the company. In this role, Nishant is responsible for developing the overall technology vision for the company, driving cross-company technology initiatives and collaboration. His keen interest areas include operating systems, networks and system architecture. He has worked on a range of embedded platforms, targeted towards varied industry verticals. He has also done extensive development on Linux device drivers and kernel internals. His experience spans managing and executing multiple projects in different domains across India and USA.
Dipinder coordinates overall operations and drives future growth strategy and business planning in the company. He has been involved in all aspects of KritiKal's journey, including management and delivery of imaging projects, graduation of the company out of IIT Delhi's business incubator, spinning off KritiKal Secure Scan as a product subsidiary, venture fund infusion, key product and process initiatives etc. He holds Masters and Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Delhi, with specialization in computer vision. At a personal level, Dipinder is keenly committed to liberal political and governance reforms in India, and other developmental issues. He holds Masters in Public Administration (MPA - Public and Economic Policy) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Sciences-Po, Paris.
Vice Admiral (Retd) “BARRY” Bharathan, Former Vice Chief of Naval Staff, served in the Indian Navy for 40 years. He is a Bachelor of Science (Physics) and Master of Science (Defense Studies) from the Madras University. He is an alumnus of Defense Services Staff College, Naval War College, Indian Navy and Naval War College Newport Rhode Island USA, with a diploma in Policy Making & Implementation, Strategic Decision Analysis and Force Planning. His operational appointments were Command of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet, Indian Naval Fleet Aviation Arm and Sea Training in the Rank of Rear Admiral. He has commanded an Anti- Submarine Warfare Helicopter squadron, a multi-purpose warfare corvette in the rank of a Commander and Command of a guided missile destroyer in the rank of a Captain.
His notable corporate appointments have been Chief of Personnel and Vice Chief of Indian Navy in the rank of Vice Admiral. He had the privilege of being appointed as the ADC to the President of India. He has represented India as its Naval Attaché in the rank of Commodore in Washington DC USA and strived hard to foster INDIA USA Navy to Navy co-operation which earned him special recognition by both governments. He has been commended at various stages of his naval service by the Government of India for operational & administrative excellence, dedication and loyalty spanning over 4 decades through award of National Service Medals. His core capabilities include macro project strategic planning, acquisitions, combat/ corporate readiness training and mentoring teams towards optimal performance. His forte is in enabling KritiKal Innovative Technology Eco systems to cost effectively reach the market place. He is the Strategic Advisor of KritiKal Solutions for North America as well as leadership development mentor of the company’s team. He has vast experience in every major sector and functional area, with a specialization in technology, healthcare, consumer goods, energy and manufacturing.
In 29 years at Tecnova India, Ajay transformed the company from one that sold French technologies in India to one of the leading India-entry strategy consulting companies. Ajay retired as the CEO of Tecnova in April 2016. Prior to Tecnova, Ajay was the Industrial Advisor to the Royal Kingdom of Bhutan for over 2 years. During that time, he worked closely with the Minister of Trade, Industry and Mines to draft Bhutan’s first Industrial Policy. Ajay also spent over 4 years as the Executive of Packaging Machinery at Metal Box, where he was responsible for launching high-value global turnkey contracts in India and USSR. Ajay served as Independent Director of 25+ foreign and Indian companies, and currently sits on the advisory board of Indian operations of several global companies, including American companies like Pfingsten Partners and Somero Enterprises and the Swiss company, Biodenta. Ajay holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a B.Tech in Mechanical.
